Ed Maskevich
Ed Maskevich is the designer of our chapter logo. Ed received his BFA degree from the San Francisco Art Institute and also took extension courses in graphic design and illustration from the University of California. Over the years, he has worked in a variety of professions, including graphic artist and fine artist.
Ed was raised in the Catholic Church, but left to do personal studies in both Zen Buddhism and Hinduism. After a ten-year hiatus, he returned to the Church with renewed interest. He had spent a year living with both Franciscan and Trappist communities before deciding to follow a vocation as an artist.
Ed is a working studio artist, and currently lives in West Olive, Michigan, with his wife and two daughters. He has plans to relocate to Silver City, New Mexico, where he has property and is represented by the Blue Dome Gallery.
His work may also be found in the Uptown Gallery of Holland, the Arianna Gallery of Royal Oak, and probably elsewhere we are unaware of. He is currently keeping a blog, which may especially be of interest to others in the visual arts.
