It's always good to get together to relax and share time together. Michelle's family was nice enough to loan us the use of the lake house, boat and all!
Central Regional Convention

» Día de Ministerio Hispano
On the Saturday before the official opening of the convention, 75 people serving the Church in hispanic ministries gathered to pray, listen to the main speaker, share a meal and participate in workshops.
» Wade in the Water
In the night before the convention began—after a full day of preparing the main ballroom with instruments, sound equipment and artwork—the heavy storms overcame the ability of the roof drains to handle the water... sending the remaining water down through the ceiling and lights of the ballroom. Beginning just before midnight we hustled to move sound equipment, original art and instruments and protect them from the rain inside the building. In short order, our catch-buckets were overwhelmed, and we were walking in over an inch of water in places. Amazingly, the equipment, art and instruments were not damaged, and the hotel was able to remove the water, replace the ceiling tiles and dry the place out enough so that we could start the convention on time the next day!

We were excited. Prayerful. Hard-working. Curious. Inspired. Serious. Silly. There was much singing, playing, dancing, sharing, listening, instructing and learning. Our time together will help us in our efforts to build bridges between cultures, peoples, generations and communities in celebration of God's kingdom!
